D.A.R.E. Indiana Board Member Dalton Thieneman
Short Strategy Group, Inc.

D.A.R.E. Indiana:
What is your experience with D.A.R.E.?

Mr. Thieneman: I was a D.A.R.E. student in the late 1990’s. I also have served on the D.A.R.E Indiana Board since 2017.

D.A.R.E. Indiana:

How did you get involved in D.A.R.E. Indiana? Why?
Mr. Thieneman:
I was initially introduced to the Board by Michael Solari, who previously served as a board member. Our firm, Short Strategy Group, also represents the Indiana Association of Chiefs of Police. Through these relationships, I was reconnected to the D.A.R.E. program. I was excited to get involved in an organization that equips students with good decision-making skills, and consequently a strong foundation. These tools are crucial in helping our youth choose safe and healthy lives.

D.A.R.E. Indiana: Do you believe DARE is beneficial to students? Why?
Mr. Thieneman: Yes, I believe the program is a proven resource for students. It provides the tools necessary to make good life choices, resist peer pressure and empowerment to choose healthy alternatives to drugs and alcohol.
